Designed for Canadian Caribbean and diverse seniors aged 55 and older, we bring accessible, culturally grounded wellness activities into the community to support healthy aging, prevent chronic disease, and reduce isolation.

Intergenerational Programs

Our Intergenerational Programs bring Afro-Canadian seniors and youth together to learn, share, and grow side by side. Elders pass down cultural traditions, recipes, and life lessons, while youth contribute their energy, creativity, and new ideas.

About the Program

The AI for Healthy Aging & Independent Living (55+) program is an 8-week, cohort-based workshop series designed specifically for diverse seniors in Mississauga and Peel Region. We teach participants how to safely and confidently use Artificial Intelligence and digital tools to improve their daily lives.

Delivered in a welcoming, culturally grounded environment, each session is led by patient, experienced instructors. Devices are provided for participants who need them, removing all financial barriers to participation.

Guided by the Ubuntu principle — "I am because we are" — this program turns technology into a tool for empowerment, connection, and independent living.

Demystify technology and AI. Learn basic device navigation on smartphones and tablets.

Voice Assistants for Daily Living

Use Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa for medication reminders, tasks, and hands-free help.

WEEK 3

Connecting with Loved Ones

Master video calls on Zoom and WhatsApp, send messages, and share photos with family.

WEEK 4

AI for Health Literacy

Use AI chatbots to ask health questions, summarize medical documents, and prepare for doctor visits.

WEEK 5

Navigating Healthcare Systems

Book appointments online, access telehealth, use pharmacy apps, and find local health resources.

WEEK 6

Digital Safety & Fraud Prevention

Identify phishing emails, deepfakes, and scams. Protect your personal and financial information.
